The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to your community.

SASSA will likely be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency stated it is alarmed regarding the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office focused on service the area regularly. The support position created for intervention experiences a substantial inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, here that makes it difficult for your office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional means to help the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance companies,” SRD the agency said.
